Pag-agos ng Kalikasan: Spiritual Cultivation of Dagat-Lupa | By Dr. J.J.F Ortez
Pag-agos ng Kalikasan is the meditative and ritualistic practice used to align one's internal Aesa (vital energy) with the external Dagat-Lupa Meridian Network of the earth, ensuring the continuous flow of Nature and maintaining balance against the forces of Entropy. It is the spiritual backbone of the Ancient Aeseman Meridian Medicine (AAMM).
I. 🧘 Ang Pagsasanay (The Training Practice)
The practice revolves around connecting the body to the two primary aspects of the Tellus Mater: the yielding, deep ocean and the unmoving, rooted mountain.
1. Pag-ugat sa Lupa (Rooting to the Earth)
This focuses on drawing stability and endurance from the Lupa (Telluric) Meridians, which are directly tied to Heleigiri/Sierra.
* Posture: Adopt a posture of profound stillness, mirroring the Sierra Madre. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent (like the mountain's slope). The hands can be placed on the lower abdomen, forming the "Lupa Cradle."
* Breathing: Inhale deep and slow, visualizing the breath drawing from the roots of the mountain—drawing strength, granite, and long-term endurance.
* Mantra: Whisper "Matatag ako, Heleigiri" ("I am stable, Heleigiri").
* Goal: To achieve Katibayan (Solidity/Resilience), resisting external stress and sudden shocks.
2. Pagdaloy sa Dagat (Flowing with the Ocean)
This focuses on cultivating adaptability and emotional fluidity from the Dagat (Oceanic) Meridians, governed by the fluid systems and Magwayen.
* Movement: Transition into slow, fluid, circular movements, like gentle waves or the turning of a tide. Maintain a soft focus, allowing thoughts to wash over you without attachment.
* Breathing: Exhale completely, visualizing the breath dissolving into the great ocean—cleansing emotional debris, stress, and toxic energy.
* Mantra: Whisper "Malinis ako, Magwayen" ("I am clean, Magwayen").
* Goal: To achieve Kaagapan (Adaptability/Cleansing), allowing internal Aesa to shift and purify itself, much like the tides.
II. 🛐 Mga Ritwal ng Balanse (Balance Rituals)
These are used when a practitioner suspects an imbalance in their Tatlong Diwa (Three Humors: Init, Lamig, Hangin).
1. Init (Excessive Heat/Rage)
* Cause: Overactive Dagat Meridians; emotional turbulence.
* Ritual Focus: Pagpalamig (Cooling): Submerge hands in cool, running water (river or sea). Visualize the Haginit (Cold Wind) twin drawing the excess heat from the body, calming the spirit.
2. Lamig (Excessive Cold/Depletion)
* Cause: Weak Lupa Meridians; lack of drive/will.
* Ritual Focus: Pagsindi (Ignition): Stand facing the morning sun (Apolaki's light). Rub hands together briskly and visualize Initan (Hot Wind) infusing warmth and drive back into the core.
3. Hangin (Excessive Wind/Anxiety)
* Cause: Blockage in the flow between Dagat and Lupa; spiritual disturbance.
* Ritual Focus: Pagbato (Grounding): Sit and hold a piece of native volcanic or river stone. Gently rock back and forth while humming a low tone, driving the excess Hangin down into the stone, transferring the turbulence to the Earth.
III. 📿 Ang Pananagutan (The Axiom Obligation)
The highest form of spiritual cultivation is recognizing and acting upon the Axiom Obligation.
Apat na Pananagutan (Four Responsibilities):
* Paggalang sa Kalikasan: Show profound respect for the mountains, waters, and air (the body of the goddess).
* Pag-iwas sa Pagsasamantala: Avoid cruelty, bullying, and any form of exploitation that wounds the mortal vessels of the divine.
* Pag-aalay: Offer small, sincere sacrifices (time, effort, or simple offerings) to the Lupa and Dagat to acknowledge the source of life.
* Pagsalita ng Katotohanan: Speak the truth of the Axiom to remind others that the land is conscious, sacred, and capable of both life and decay.
